| From what I understand the reason why you often times see Buddhist monks bow to one another is because they are recognizing the inner potential god in us all, or at least amongst themselves. I've adopted this own philosophy and principal to my own beliefs but as Lunacin I need to eventually learn more so finding some books would be most helpful in learning about the Buddhist tenants. _________________ "For many are called, but few are chosen" - Matthew 22:14 ver. | whateve their particular reason, bowing to ANYONE at least who has not specifically done something to convince you not to, is proper. to show respect should be teh default way to interact with people. _________________ "Only in our vulnerability is there true power. | Should be but unfortunately it is not a common aspect found in say oh America. It's a shame more Americans aren't more respectful of one another, their fellow man, etc. _________________ "For many are called, but few are chosen" - Matthew 22:14 ver. New American Standard. | You need to listen to Cruxshadows, Sophia my friend. That sums up just about what I do and what my general mission is. With that said, I try to everyday. Just people don't still understand because of ignorance. If that is the way they wish to live then I can't do a thing about that. _________________ "For many are called, but few are chosen" - Matthew 22:14 ver. New American Standard. | ^_^ i do love that song. and yes, i know. we cannot change the way they want to live, but we can try to convince them with displays of how great it is. _________________ "Only in our vulnerability is there true power. And that power is life itself."
