Druids and Shamans. Are They Related Somehow?!

From what I have studied from history books such as The Celts: A History by Peter Berresford Ellis, school, and little blurbs I have found on the net, it seems rather clear that the ways of the Druids can/be/could be related to not only Animism but Shamanism as well. Both have relatively similar beliefs so...why not? Just because the cultures may have never mingled doesn't mean the Druids couldn't have been Shamans of their region and evolved differently from how the Native American Shamans did.

Any ...

Should we allow our Guests to be able to not only read sections that are considered "General" or "Overall" sections, but also allow them to be able to create new topics like normal members and be able to reply to said topics they created? Or are those sections, even still, far too personal to allow them to view? What say you members?!

Children's Bible in a Nutshell

In the beginning, which occurred near the start, there was nothing but God, darkness, and some gas. The Bible says, "The Lord thy God is one, but I think He must be a lot older than that. Anyway, God said, "Give me a light!" and someone did. Then God made the world.

He split the Adam and made Eve. Adam and Eve were naked, but they weren't embarrassed because mirrors hadn't been invented yet. Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating one bad apple, ...

Quote:One day my mother was out and my dad was in charge of me and my older brother. I was maybe 1 1/2 years old and had just recovered from an accident in which my arm had been broken among other injuries. Someone had given me a little 'tea set' as a get-well gift and it was one of my favorite new toys.

Daddy was in the living room engrossed in the evening news and my brother was playing nearby when I brought Daddy a little cup of 'tea', which was just water.

I've heard of the 7 major Chakras. One that that confuses me slightly, in at least several different texts I've read ( 'Version A' is reinforced by a few of the texts I've read while 'Version B' is reinforced by the other half of the texts I've read, headache!) I've seen chakra charts like this:

Crown

Brow

Throat

Solar Plexus (?)

Heart

Naval (?)

Sacral (?)

Root

That's 8 in total however there are some chakras I agree with verses others such as Crown, Brow (Third-eye), ...

Good Vs. Evil And Many Shades of Grey

By some peoples perspectives there is only the two sides, Good and Evil. However many don't take into consideration that there are also the 'many shades of grey'. With that said, Good and Evil we can most likely say is just a state of mind and that 'many shades of grey' are the factor that is dependent upon what one's perspective is on Good vs. Evil. Least that is my own opinion. Anyone else have something that want to share or add?

A long time ago I tried to wrap my brain around the concept (and this was when I was a little girl mind you) that the reason why we had so many gods, was really because, "All gods were one god" (kind of an advanced form of thinking for a 6 or 7 yr old huh?). In attempting to believe and accept this to feel more comfortable with my beliefs I just couldn't seem to really hold it considering how being in the '7th Day Adventist Sec' made me feel. Now granted, the whole concept of, "All ...

RF Online - Game Review

Despite being rated second worst MMO ever 'RF Online' really isn't as bad as they reviewers make it. While I will agree the environments are a bit bland in diversity, it isn't a half bad game once you get the idea of how to do play.

How you play the game will dictate your true in-game experience. Unlike most MMOs 'RF Online' isn't based on experienced, instead it is more based on your PTs or rather your skill points. In the game if you melee skill is of utter weak-sauce chances are you won't ...

Greetings MMO fans,

this is Lady Nyghtshayde with a special report from the MMO scene. So recently my Beloved downloaded and test played (as well as myself to a fair degree) a new MMO called, "Sword of the New World". While the game is absolutely gorgeous and implements an awesomely new idea for MMOs (having a party of 3 where you control the other two players) it still lacks many good things an MMO should have in order to be considered favorable among gamers.

But before we get ...

What the hell?!

I seriously don't understand why children do this or why they stare at me.
Trouble With Channeling

Today I went to dance and do some sword dancing. My beloved wound up kind of turning it into a training exercise but still it was fairly relaxing and kept us busy. Unfortunately however the true goal of this dance was to channel and as I channeled send a message outward on a spiritual level. There was a problem though, I couldn't. Not once did I channel as I did my final dance for the eve and that sucked.

My beloved believes that because of my minor irritation with him that it could have ...

I understand some people do like to lurk, but as we are right now I'd really like to see more activity then what we have right now. Things are SOOO slow.

Concerning the Gods and Goddesses

I found this link the other day I thought that would be perfect when doing research on the Gods and Goddesses. The link I have here is for the Goddess Brigit who is considered "The Triple Goddess" and was one of the Goddesses that survived Christian adoption, with the exception they demoted her to 'Saint'.

The Goddess Brigit - The Triple Goddess

Celtic Heros:

Cuchulainn

I didn't fully understand what "True Faith" was until I found Luna or rather she found me. When I was young my father attempted to raise me Christian, however unfortunately for him I saw too many flaws in the religion and questioned the system often. However later it seems I understand what he was trying to show me which was the meaning of what 'True Faith' is.

I've come to understand "True Faith" is not something you can so easily describe in the human language.
By all rights this topic deserves to be in essentially the "T.V." related stuff. But this is music with a spiritual twist. This music video depicts a version of what could be considered "The Goddess Story" or "The Story/Birth of the Goddess". So for your viewing pleasure here it is:

Pulse's Sri-Ritval

And to go with it here is the story I had been trying to track down in relationship to this video:

Legend of the Decent: Birth of the Goddess

Though my current love provided me with the seeds, watching shows such as Stargate SG-1 continued to nurture those seeds so they would grow. In the series the SG-1 team proves in their travels and adventures through the Stargate that most of our known gods physically existed however their spin to this is that these physically existent gods ...

Good morrow my kindred spirits,

now I know I have all the authority (plus the mods) on what becomes an announcement vs. a sticky and vice versa. But what I want to ask all of you is for your opinion. On what you ask? I want your feedback/suggestions on what you feel should become a sticky! If you feel something would be really helpful as far as an FAQ guide or something else, then PM or e-mail me or one of the other mods, admins, etc and let us know! You can even post what topics you want to ...

When I was young and living in Shelton, WA, it was already well late into the night, but I wanted to see the stars nonetheless. I snuck my way onto the back porch and either stood or sat down. When I turned my gaze to the darkened night sky it was doing something most peculiar that even today I don't know what it was or how to properly describe it without a sketch to help support the visuals I'm about to describe. I knew this was unlike anything I knew about or had seen such as an Aurora Borealis, ...

It took a great deal of effort to translate the original writings. After months of effort and research in language libraries, it was finally determined that the weird script was not some arcane, forgotten ...

Where Is Our Rank Bar?

I just found out recently that I'm going to have to have someone make us one or I have to make it. Since I don't have access to Adobe Photoshop (or my computer for that matter) I cannot at this point in time make the Rank bar myself. I'll give the commissioning a shot, but I'm rather skeptical if anyone can give us something I'll really approve of and like (without too much heckling as to what I am and what I run and all that). And let's not forget your guy's opinions. It matters if you rather ...
