I commisioned a friend not long ago that I used to go to school with at the AiS who was an animation student (recently graduated mind you and his gallery can be found on dA at: LunaticEnigma - M. Xander) to possibly make us a banner that would really be a great eye catcher and get us some serious attention. Well after a bit of waiting he finally finished the banner and here it is. It's a bit large so if you have photoshop and can make a smaller banner for people to use more efficiently on other ...

I just found out recently that I'm going to have to have someone make us one or I have to make it. Since I don't have access to Adobe Photoshop (or my computer for that matter) I cannot at this point in time make the Rank bar myself. I'll give the commissioning a shot, but I'm rather skeptical if anyone can give us something I'll really approve of and like (without too much heckling as to what I am and what I run and all that). And let's not forget your guy's opinions. It matters if you rather ...

Generally speaking I don't think we have too many rules, however I do like being thorough and I like people knowing exactly what we expect and want them to know the kind of environment we plan to maintain. Do any of you guys who are active think/believe I may have created too many or what?

This will play into the whole, "Open the forums up," thing, so you know so it is important.

So this is what the additional stuff is when people decide to register:

If you have a suggestion for how it could be changed I would love to hear it. This is just a general intro to let people know what we expect and what environment we are attempting to promote.

Should we allow our Guests to be able to not only read sections that are considered "General" or "Overall" sections, but also allow them to be able to create new topics like normal members and be able to reply to said topics they created? Or are those sections, even still, far too personal to allow them to view? What say you members?!

So today, it occurred to me that I am unaware as to whether or not members receive a "confirmation" e-mail message saying, "You're account is now active". If you have indeed received a message saying this, awesome, that puts some fears of mine to rest. I'm still getting re-used to all of this so bear with me and my stupid questions. I'll be making a poll so select the answer that best describes how our services are working in regards to this. Thanks again guys!

Good morrow my kindred spirits,

so I know our numbers are few right now, but believe we when I say they shall grow. I have utter confidence in our numbers growing. Right now I'm being fairly selective about who I'm inviting, because I want to try and avoid getting the hard-headed skeptics in here waaaay too early. I want to create a friendly and very open and expressive environment for you guys. With that said, I can't do all the invitations myself, I don't know enough people. So I ask you ...

you know the big icons on the main page that are suppose to change when someone has made a new post in that section? Ye-ah, it's not working. Anytime someone has posted a new message the icon doesn't change. So please look carefully when examining the forum. now I know I have all the authority (plus the mods) on what becomes an announcement vs. a sticky and vice versa. But what I want to ask all of you is for your opinion. On what you ask? I want your feedback/suggestions on what you feel should become a sticky! If you feel something would be really helpful as far as an FAQ guide or something else, then PM or e-mail me or one of the other mods, admins, etc and let us know!
From what I understand people would really like some kind of pop-up screen or something like that, that informs them (on the site) that they have a PM. You should be able to change this in your profiles under say 'User preferences' but if nothings there I'm still going to be looking in the Admin Control Panel for something. So I'm on the case!

If you have trouble accessing certain sections of the forums (such as the Otherkin section) please notify me in this topic about it so I can go about correcting the issue. All members should have access to just about every section so there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to access one unless we inform you of such.

Additionally if you see sections when you are logged out that you feel are topics that should not be allowed to be seen by guests, please inform me here about it as well.
