Twilight - Teen Romance Empty
PostSubject: Twilight - Teen Romance   Twilight - Teen Romance EmptyThu Apr 23, 2009 4:40 pm

Since the book series has earned itself quite a bit of hype I'm creating this section. No; I have not read the books and I'm not entirely sure I would enjoy them considering the first book to me didn't exactly have the best plot in the world (I saw the movie cut me some slack). While a romance novel for teens is all well and good there just needs to be more substance than that there for me. I didn't feel like I did when like reading Harry Potter (OMG VOLDEMORT! lol). I want to feel a better pull like that so I will keep reading, not just to read to see where Bella and her relationship with Edward goes. While the concept of a human and a vampire falling in love is not new they did use a different basis of mythology which was cool (decended from angel so like Nephilim or decended from Jesus. Apparently if you do the digging there is some actual info linking back to it. *shrug* Don't look at me!). But this is a topic created for those who did read and enjoy the books so express your views, opinions, undying devotion to Edward, and love for the series here please! ^_^

I found it alright. (Yes I did read it. I have two sisters that went to the release of the last book so didn't have much of a choice.) The book does better of explaining some of the things. Though just for the record Gwen, the school the book described was more like our high school and not the one you saw in the movie.

lol Wow, that would have been nice to see, a shitty run-down school just like ours. Would have been interesting.
