Happy Celebration of Love Day!

Subject: Happy Celebration of Love Day! Sun Feb 15, 2009 2:04 am

Okay I know I'm a day late but I am exhausted so give me a break. Least I'm making an effort now. So happy V-day or Celebration of Love day as it should be called, in my opinion. What did everyone do for the occasion?

Today I was just coming up with different names for the event and a friend came up with, "Singles Awareness Day," and then of course my other one was, "Passion Day".

ugh... i'd rather just celebrate Bealtaine when that rolls around, and ignore this holiday altogether...

I was half thinking the same thing. XD Because Beltane seems a bit more fun all things considered. Wink

oh my! XD yes indeed! ^///^ the irgins hooking up over (or rather around) a pole with ribbons, getting all tangled up and cute-looking... whil ethe married get to practice free-love! XD di you know that the tradition among witches of "Wife-swapping" evolved out of the law that on Bealtaine the married are allowed to fornicate with women other than their wives?

No; I did not know that. I learned something new today. XD I wish the may-pole was still done today. They used to do it I think up until like the 1950s and then it just died. Isn't it just nice to celebrate something? Come on how often do you get to go out and enjoy the beautiful weather outside with an excuse to go have fun (no pun intended...this time).

around here they still have maypoles, but usually they cut out the hooking up part! XD

Oh I didn't realize that once you finished wrapping the ribbon around you were suppose to hook up with someone from the pole. XD lol

I kind of might to if it was a chick I wound up with or not my man.
